Every evening as the sun sets over the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the invisible Saraswati, our Samiti performs the sacred Ganga Aarti at Kila Ghat. Devotees can participate personally, join as Yajman, or sponsor the entire Aarti in their family's name — even from abroad, with photos and video shared afterwards.
Aarti Timings
- Kila Ghat Aarti: 6:30 PM daily (approx. 30 minutes)
- Prashashan Aarti: 7:00 PM
Arrive 20–30 minutes early for a good place, especially on Somvar, Purnima, Amavasya and festival days.
Ways to Participate
- Yajman (यजमान): take part in the Aarti ritual itself
- Mukhya Yajman (मुख्य यजमान): lead sponsorship of the day's Aarti
- Deep Daan: offer lamps on the Sangam waters alongside the Aarti
- Remote sponsorship: for NRI devotees — we perform in your name and share the recording
Why Triveni Sangam Aarti
The Sangam at Prayagraj is one of the holiest tirthas in Sanatan Dharma — the site of the Kumbh Mela and the meeting point of three sacred rivers. An Aarti offered here carries the punya of all three.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sponsor the Aarti from outside India?
Yes. NRI devotees regularly sponsor the Aarti. We perform the sankalp in your name and gotra, and share photos and video on WhatsApp the same evening.
What is the difference between Yajman and Mukhya Yajman?
A Yajman participates in the Aarti ritual with the priests. The Mukhya Yajman is the principal sponsor of that day's Aarti, seated foremost, with the sankalp performed in their family's name.
Where exactly does the Aarti happen?
At Kila Ghat, in the Triveni Sangam area on Akshayvat Marg, near the Bade Hanuman Mandir — see the Google Maps link in the footer.
